Situated on the border between B.C. and Washington, Boundary Bay is an important bird migration site, a popular day destination for picnics. During low tide, the bay recedes quite a bit, and it is possible to wade out into the middle of the bay.

I remember the first time I saw this place I thought it was the coolest thing. When the tide was out, you could wade waaay out into the bay. Bring flipflops or some sort of footwear though before you venture into the bay!
