A provincial park not far from Kirkland Lake or the Ontario / Quebec border. Plenty of wildlife here such as foxes and loons, and the campsites are spacious. Canoeing and birding is popular here, as is camping - more than 100 sites exist here.

The nature of this park is splendid, although the maintenance of trails and visitor centre was poor our last visit (summer 2008). Large campsites and the region is known for the esker lakes formed from ice age time. Go in August for blueberry season and pick some wild berries yourself!

we camped for the season last year (2010) and found it a little run down...especially the beach. There isn't anymore sand going into the water, it seems to be all swampy mud. Not too appealing to swim in. I also found it very expensive. The ltst are nicely cleaned and people are very pleasant.
