May 10, 2010 I've been to the Museum of Civilization a few times, and I always enjoy the visit. You learn a lot about Canada's history and about the cultures of the indiginous peoples that were living here long before European settlers "discovered" the New World. I enjoy all of the exhibits, but my favorite part is the station where you can watch the "A Part of our Heritage" commercials! These were played during commercial breaks just about everytime I watched tv as a kid, and are great snapshots of points of interest in the history of Canada. Oct 20, 2008 A fabulous museum that is a must see for young or old. I highly recommend a trip to the IMAX theatre to catch a show. It is definately one of my favourite places in Ottawa and since I live here I get to visit it often. The location is stunning and provides a great location for photographers to get a shot of the parliament buildings from across the river. Jan 5, 2010 Charts the history of Canada starting with the cultures of various native peoples, progressing to the French and British colonial periods in North America, and ending with how technology and modern immigration shaped the country as it is today.
