Compared to other galleries, the AGO is a bust. Their photography exhibition is a joke - irrelevant work and photographs of historic places such as Niagara Falls but nothing worth mentioning. A few images from the Group of Seven, only worth it if you like their artwork. The best things to see at the AGO are traveling exhibitions from the V&A in London or other galleries!

Lots of good stuff here. It was just renovated like 4 years ago and they did a really great job. I love the room with the tree that they were able to carve around the sapling. I think Wed's used to be free too so check it out.

The AGO as we call it. It has always had impressive collections and you can pick up some souvenirs from many great Canadian artists including the group of Seven. If you are in to galleries, this is a must in Toronto.

Art Gallery of Ontario has a very charming cafe with a nice store, full of tempting gifts to buy, as wonderful books and curious toys.
