Church St to me, is a fantastic, cultural, historic place to hang out. Yes, there are some churches (and lovely, old ones at that..St. Michael's cathedral for me is the fav)... it leads you into St. Lawrence Market, which is huge, and wonderful, lively...full of farmers, vendors, butchers, produce people... Also, you can find some great restaurants, pawn shops (you never know what you'll find!), sitting areas. It leads into Ryerson University, right by Yonge St... it's a great, central place. Check it out.
