Feb 3, 2009 The Botanical Garden in Montreal is massive. Spanning around 6 city blocks in length, one can wander deep into the gardens and completely leave behind the bustle of the city. It exhibits a rich repertoire of plant life from all over the world. Beautiful scenery abounds, and you will never run out of peaceful nooks to discover. Notable gardens: Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, Alpine Garden. Best time to visit: summertime. Nov 24, 2008 Make sure you are well rested. The Botanical Garden is huge and amazing. The Japanese garden has a beautiful lake surrounded by gorgeous traditional architecture. There is a senses garden where you can touch, smell and even eat some of the plants. It could easily be an all-day affair. There are tons of individual gardens, each unique and equally beautiful. May 10, 2010 The Botanical Gradens are a great place to visit, but be prepared to walk for awhile if you want to see everything - it's a huge place! I like to bring a picnic and relax when I visit. Spring is obviously a great time to go, especially when the apple trees are blooming. Mar 24, 2012 very cool place! Best time to go is when they do the chinese lantern exhibit in fall. It's got lots of great gardens and green houses. They also do a really cool free roaming butterflies thing during spring where you can walk among thousands of butterflies
