This area was home to the historic Gold Rush of 1898. View beautiful scenary in this mountainous region, as well as tailing piles left behind by the Dredge No.4 one of the largest of its time. There are numerous different pieces of history left along Bonanza Creek Rd. as Gold Mining became expensive, and therefore many operations were abandoned. Gold Mining is still in operation in the area, and you may even contact some of the mines to pan for your own gold. Follow the road and hit King Solomon's DOme, a 4, 048 climb. Enjoy the beautiful view as you look as far as your eyes can see only to see the many different species of trees as well as many mountains.

Getting there:
From Dawson City, Bike riding, walking or driving is acceptable. I prefer to bike, but be on the lookout for moose and bears, as well as other animals who call this area home.

It is incredible to be in a place where the history is so much alive. Everything about the area makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the Klondike era. As well, hiking, canoeing, biking, and capturing pictures of the vast amount of wildlife is also a plus.

One of the best places to work in canada, everyone is friendly, and willing to meet new people. Night life in Dawson is fun, and weather is usually very nice in the summers.
