We got to this place in our first day.We had a guided tour which was asmart choice. The place itself is very interesting .First impresion is that the island is full of the suberb stutues and then suddenly you discover (with the help of the guide )that other events also took place on the island.Anything connected to the history and the life of the locals is interting,so is Hanga Roe

Orongo was a fascinating place to visit and get an appreciation of an ancient, almost forgotten culture. Little is known about the ancient beliefs of easrly inhabitants of Easter Island, and Orongo is one rare spot where you can appreciate how life must have been hundreds of years ago. The old houses and rock carvings are accesible and the views of Rano Kau crater are perfect.
