Highly rated as one of the places you must visit if you are in Chile. So we did.We arrined at Puerto Natales where from the organised trip left .It came out as a long day full of excitment and excellent weather. The mountains were approached slowly slowly and by eash turn of the bus you discovered a new side and dimention of the mountain.(on the way we stoped at the Cueva del Milodon)When you enter the gates of the national park you already feel that something huge will happen. You have no time and patience for all the stops on the way. Each new mountain you see from the window you wonder :Is this "the mountain" ?When finaly you get off the bus and in front of you lies the mountain so well known from the photographs...It's imposing and beautiful and once again you wonder about all the beauties of the nature and how they were selected to be almost perfectly distributed one or two or more for each country. The snow on the top,the very blue lakes at your feet, the lamas wondering on the grass all this in one place and just for you to contemplate on it.And indeed you sould contemplate but this time with wide open eyes and a lot of camera clicks.Who knows if after 12000 km I will ever return there once again.

It is a wonderfull place where you can relax and connect to the nature. You can go trekking depending on your posibilities, from very easy to harder routes like for instance the famous 'W' route. The name of the park comes from its 3 famous peaks. Cuerno Norte (2,400m), Cuerno Principal (2,600m) and Cuerno Este (2,200m). spectacular landscapes. The route I chose was from refugio La Guarida to refugio Los Italianos, 1 day and the next day go back. The weather (April) was not so good as I had wished to, but anyway, the experience was very good.

A fabulous park! If you can't do the self support full trek then try the shorter W trek. You can stay at the refugios and leave your camping gear at home. If you have just a few nights then you can make one of the main refugios your base and do some spectacular day hikes. It may be a challenge to get to the park but it is well worth the time spent travelling.

One of the most beautiful sites on earth, Torres del Payne national park. Beautiful scenery, mountains and animals in the wild. You will mainly see Condors, Guanacos, Ñandu's. And the immense and vast feeling of Patagonia is impressive. Torres del Payne are 3 rock formations of the Andes Mountains with beautiful opal blue lakes, waterfalls and glaciers.
