When visiting Punta Arenas and you want to see some Magellan Penguins - travel about 60 kilometers to Otway Sound to get up close and personal with these cute little creatures. You have a path to stay on - but the penguins don't have boundaries and you will find yourself quite close - just be aware that they can and will bite.... There are many different opportunities to visit the penguins in Chile - but this was one of our favorites.

Terrific placee to see penguins. Lots of magellanics bustling about. There were chicks in the burrows when I was there.
