In Suzhou you can visit Number 1 Silk Mill that dated from 1926. there you can see the making of silk and the process of dividing raw silk from cocoons into strands horizontally and vertically, before weaving them together.
Big cocoons are made into blankets while the small ones are kept for clothes, scarf....
