Jul 28, 2009 A great park for a nice long stroll. Or a little boat ride. Beautiful gardens and lots of little places tucked away. Live music by street performers make you feel almost like your back in the Ming dynasty. Cheap places to eat around the lake but also one very expensive restaurant on the island in the lake. Very close to the Forbidden city. 10 RMB entry fee. Could be better lit at night. Sep 5, 2008 Il parco Beihai è un posto in cui passerei tutte le domeniche se abitassi a Pechino...pieno di gente che balla, canta, gioca...è in posti come questi che emerge il lato più bello degli abitanti di Pechino!!! Ire, torniamociiiiiii!!!!! :-) Dec 26, 2008 I really enjoyed escaping to Beihai Park after several days in the smoggy hubbub of Beijing. The park is so green and alive and peaceful, truly the antithesis of the concrete jungle city. Aug 21, 2008 Enchanting place - if not so many people ;). Water, stones, temples, dragons everywhere. And I like the idea of people exercising in parks for free.
