Gulan Island has a long history. I love to wonder around in the island, and feel the salty breeze running through my hair and my face. Favorite thing to do is to get a fresh coconut drink and watch sun going down at the horizon.

No cars on this island. Really. Walk, cycle, walk some more. Get someone to push you around on a handcart. It's lovely not to smell any exhaust fumes! Eat seafood at the many many good seafood restaurants. Relax.....

I really love Xiamen, mostly because of Gulangyu Island. It has a lot of history and great for seafood. You will see a lot of tourists from Taiwan here
