Dec 3, 2009 The Terracotta Warriors Museum is one of the most wonderful museums in China. The museum has three sections which house the original pits in which the hundreds of terracotta warriors which have been put back together since most of them were damaged under the caved wooden roofs and due to the destruction by their ancient enemies are found in their original locations. Some of the objects like the metal chariots and warriors are kept in a separate museum besides the three main pit museum buildings. Conservation, restoration and preservation work is continually going on and there are nice videosand pictures available which show what is being done. Feb 7, 2010 Its was a truly amazing spectacle to see 1000's of these individual warriors and their horses, armour and weapons lined up in what can only be described as a vast aircraft hanger. Also seeing the amazing gold and silver chariots that they still to this day don't know how they got the different metals to bind together. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my China trip and a must seen for anyone who visits this wonderous country. Hopefully in the near future the Chinese will have the technology to preserve the colour of the warriors so that they can viewed in their original splendour.
