bulit in 1767, this palace is in memory of the empire's 60 birthday and to welcome the Lama for his staying in Chengde. the palace is called "Putuozongsheng" in Chinese, which is the "Potala" in Tibetian. with the similar style of Potala Palace in Tibet, it shows the respect of the Buda.the main roof is covered with gold, which is very rare is Chinese temp but usual in the Tibet Temp.
