"Favorite" is perhaps the wrong word - but having read The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang it was the reason I had Nanjing on my itinerary - particularly as a counterpoint to my visit to Hiroshima in 2007.

Moving museum that reveals a part of China and Japan's history that is not widely publicised. Definitely worth a visit, but be prepared to be affected emotionally.
