Dec 26, 2008 The Confucius Temple is a very serene and peaceful complex, through which one could easily wander for hours. Architecture is very typical Chinese. Outside the palace, all of the vendors and restaurant owners are in competition and boast their blood connection to Confucius as one closer degree of relation than the neighboring restaurateur to try to attract your patronage. A visit to Qufu makes for a nice day trip.
