The Jade Buddha Temple was built in1882 in the style of Song Dynasty. The temple included many statues but the most important is a seated jade Buddha statue imported from Burma by sea. This statue is 1.95 meters tall and it weighs 3 tones. It’s carved out of a single piece of solid white jade. The statue is also adorned with jewels. You are not allowed to take photos of this statue.

It is pretty good to visit, lots to see. you may even see the monks performing one of their rituals.
The Jadee statues are impressive however the Chinese Jade will never beat the New Zealand Jade AKA Green Stone or Pounamu for it's intense depth of green colouring.
