It is one of the most important universities in Bucaramanga and Colombia. Located in the north of Bucaramanga's Plateau, full of green and covered with the lovely sky of Santander, counts in so many things with large gardens full of typically flowers and plants from the Andean region; one of the most important cultural venues of the city, the Auditorium: Luis A. Calvo, named in honor of one of the most importants Colombian musicians, in which take place within many things: The International Piano Festival; a well designed sport complex (pitifully without pools); and too many researching laboratories, in which investigations are carried out in the different areas of knowledge.
Sculptures, murals, graffities and temporal expositions decorate constantly the alma mater. The Universidad Industrial de Santander is one of the most active arts and culture promotor and counts with too many groups and collectives of theater, dance, music and other fine arts.
Surrounded by bars, pubs, cafés, premises; close to the main stadium, malls residential buildings and stations of the mass transit, and located on the main city's avenue (27th st) the Universidad Industrial of Santander is one of the must popular town's places, and due it's campus, it's cultural agenda , it's gardens and views, the easy acces and it's proximity to other interest places, it's one of the must see places in Bucaramanga.
