The Jade Museum hosts, saves and exhibits the largest collection of pre-Columbian Jade in America . It has very modern exhibition rooms that show as well objects of ceramics, stone, bone, shells, wood and other materials.

Payment Accepted:

The museum is in the building of the Instituto Nacional de Seguros de Costa Rica. It`s next to the Parque España.

I just visited it and I really loved the museum. It doesn`t only give an overview of different jade pieces, but also it shows how jade was elaborated. Moreover you get information about how people lived in the precolombian aera. Additionally they have the famous metates and a lot of other objects of ceramics, stone,... It`s really worth, visiting it!
