Oct 28, 2008 Walk along the City Wall viewing the gleaming white stone streets below on the interior and viewing the sparkling Adriatic Sea on the exterior. This city along the Dalmation Coast has nice fresh fish restaurants and a wonderful market square where one can buy lavender products from a near by island. Enjoy a coffee in an outdoor cafe and watch the people walk by. Visit the marina where you can see the fresh fish coming in and you will know what to order for dinner tonight at the local restaurants. Aug 12, 2008 Dubrovnik's walls are one of the most complete in Europe. They measure 2km around and they circle the city. This fortification system was already being built in the 12th century. They are thick from 1,5-3 m on seaward side up to 4 to 6 m on the landward. The height also varies and in some places it reaches 25m. A walk will take you about 1 - 1.5 hour and it offers some particularly good views on the cisty. And don't forget to take something to drink when you do them! Jul 29, 2010 Good for a bit of exercise, cultural activity and sight seeing. Costs around £10 to do and lasts for a bout an hour and a half. The red clay roofs are what fills the centre of the old walls and look fantastic from this height. Many islands are also visible and you will be able to get that postcard picture on this journey!
