Basketball Court Building Concert Hall Gym Handball Opera House Stadium Volleyball Watching Sports Developed as a public/private consortium between the City of Split, Croatia and Sportski Grad TPN d.o.o., the Spaladium Arena opened on December 27, 2008 to an end-stage concert featuring Croatian musical sensations Oliver Dragojević and Toni Cetinski. Spaladium Arena is also the home for KK Split, members of the Croatian Basketball Federation and the Adriatic Basketball Association. Originally designed as one of six venues to host the 2009 Men's World Handball Championships, Global Spectrum Europe managed the operations at Spaladium Arena. Global Spectrum Europe (Global Spectrum-NEC d.o.o.) was a partnership between US-based Global Spectrum and the UK-based NEC Group. Together the companies managed booking, operations, and marketing for more than 80 venues throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore and now Croatia. But after the fiasco caused by the low number of events organized, the city of Split canceled the deal with Global Spectrum, and the control over the arena went to the "Sportski grad TPN" consortium. As of then, event number went up and the arena is getting positioned to be the focal point for all sports, entertainment, and business events in the Croatia’s Dalmatia region as well as a must-stop tour destination in Southeast Europe. In addition to the main arena, Spaladium Arena also features an adjacent 1,000 square meter sports hall that is convenient for sports competitions, practices, leagues, and other entertainment opportunities seeking a smaller venue. The main arena Spaladium Arena also includes the Gold and Silver Lounges, two smaller rooms ideal for business meetings and catered functions, such as product launches, press conferences, presentations, and banquets. Catering is available for all events in Spaladium Arena. Payment Accepted:
