Description:
The Roman Arena in Pula in the Istria region of Croatia is one of the Roman Empire's remaining arenas. Unlike other arenas, it is built into the hillside, which saved on materials and labor. Because it has undergone some restorative activities, it is not eligible for UNESCO protection. Below the arena in what were once the gladiators chambers is now a mini-museum with wine and olive presses. Today, the arena serves as a venue for semi open-air concerts.

Real Roman ruins in surprisingly great shape right in the heart of Istria. You should not miss this attraction. I bet the concerts here must be killer!
