Southern wall of Old Town City Hall

Sep 29, 2011 The Clock is marvelous. It’s in the old town square and it’s one of the oldest in the world 1410. It’s divided into 3 parts: The astronomical part with the sky, sun and the moon; the walk of the Apostles; and four animated figures which represent: vanity, holding a mirror; a rich man holding a bag of gold; death holding a bell and a wise man. Below the clock there’s a calendar. Every hour people gather in front of the clock to see the procession of the disciples and death tolling the bell. Don’t miss the procession, it’s wonderful. Aug 5, 2010 The clock looks really nice and arty. It attracts loads of tourists every hour to see the apostels. If you want to see it, don't go there 15 minutes or more in advance, because the 'show' doesn't last too long. Nice to see, but it's not extremely bad if you've just missed it. Feb 23, 2010 So old but still functioning. Every hour there is a big group of tourists willing to see the oldest astronomical clock in Central Europe. There is a skeleton ringing a bell and small statues of saints appearing through the windows. Everyone who comes to Prague should see it. Related Links
