The oldest bridge in Prague , erected on the site of a former wooden bridge which was destroyed in a flood in the 1300s. One of the most touristed sites of town, but is good fun to see the portrait painters and numerous statues all over the bridge. To get a great photo, turn right off the bridge (on the old town square side) and walk along the river a little, then turn back and get a great shot of the statues with the Prague Castle in the background.

Most beautiful place in Prague... this walking only bridge offers the best views of Prague from the middle of the famous Vltava River which runs through the entire city (similarly to "la Seine" in Paris only much wider and even longer). From the Charles bridge you are also offered a magnificent panoramic view of the Castle Hilltop (which bears its name appropriately) on which is the royal palace (named Castle Prague) and in the middle of the palace's courtyard lies the breathtaking St.Vitus Cathedral. (Google it: its worth the look!)

Though Prague is an amazing city and it is hard to pick one thing to love, the Charles Bridge (Karlova Mostu) is awesome. It is in the center of everything and it would seem that nearly everyone in the city would pass you at some point if you waited. During the day it is speckled with the artists of the city, selling paintings and jewelry. At night it is the perfect place for views of the city, lit in colors. At the far end (from the castle) is the bridge tower, which anyone can ascend for a better view around. It is quite amazing from the top.

This is well known for a reason. The architecture is beautiful on this bridge, and it's worth it to walk across just to see the 30 statues along the way, let alone the views of the city. Plus you will always find amazing musicians playing and artists selling their wares. I have two paintings on my walls that people brought back from Prague for me, and not only were they bought on Charles Bridge, but their also depicting Charles Bridge in two completely different ways!

Again, one of those things, that you can't miss. Charles Bridge (Karlův Most) is an icon of old Prague. But, there is a little secret. There are two bronze sculptures, which everybody tries to touch, and those places are shining. Don't touch the dog—it's а false one ;-) Few guys rubbed it with sandpaper in the night time :-)
Oh, don't forget to climb to the Old Town bridge tower—one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world.
