It used to form one of the 13 entrances to the Old Town and contribute to the beauty of the Royal Court, the king’s residence. The New Tower was built in concordance with the Old Town Bridge Tower designed by Peter Parler a century before.
The gate acquired its present name in the 17 th century when it was used to store gunpowder. Today, there is a small exhibition about the tower and it is open for visiting.
I like the view from the top of the tower. :)

amazingly beautiful city, arhcitecture to rival any in europe and catch your imagination, and landscapes to take your breath away. However locals are cold and difficult, language barrier is a difficulty, they say they speak english, but then they speak only 3 words of it, the same with german, but the food is divine. No longer a cheap city in Eastern Europe.

One of Prague's landmarks. Has some nice history, unfortunately most written in Czech.
Less touristic than the other tower in Prague. As it's also cheap to visit and not crowded with tourists, it's recommended to visit! But.. you have to be abe to walk some tricky stairs! The reward is great ;)
