The second biggest river in the world. From Kinshasa downstream, navigation is impossible due to rapids. On the other side, navigation is possible up to Kisangani, 2000km upstream.
At some places, the river is more than 30km wide.
In Kinshasa, it is possible to rent small boats for a day trip on the river, and picnic on sand islands.
For that, you should go to the Nautic Club, or the Yacht club in Kinshasa and negociate.
