This spectaculary colorful canal with its beautiful buildings and innumerable sidewalk cafe provide an excellent place to take great pictures. Linger over a coffee or beer and watch the passing parade. If you happen to be here during one of the international football matches (as we were) this becomes the headquarters street for the visiting team (Norway, when were there). You can get some outstanding pictures of mostly guys in colorful team garb and face/body paint having a ball. It is like a testosterone-filled street fair! If you have anything resembling a good camera (I have a Nikon D300) everyone yells PRESS! PRESS! and you will have more people posing for you than you ever thought possible. In fact, you will have a HARD time getting out of there because everyone wants their picture taken.

I love Copenhagen, and especially this area. It's full of restaurants and bars, and always bustling with life! If you want to take a trip on the channel, there are several boats just waiting to serve you. We chose the cheapest one, and hit the jackpot. The tourguide was one of, if not the best, we have ever listened to. She was fantastic, and she had a great sense of humour. She made us wishing for a longer trip :)

Great place to eat, relax and meet the danes. Sit by the canal and enjoy a nice cold beer.
