Lovely place in Scandinavia. This city is known for its Fjords (this is correct Danish spelling; pronounced as F-e-e-O-r-d-s). Its a memorable spot in my travel list, not just for its beauty. Its an important place in Vikings history, legend has it that Roskilde was one of the prolonged stops Vikings had made on their routes. Today, Roskilde has a fabulous Viking museum which has a viking boat building yard. Its very memorable for me because I stayed in a house right in front of the fjords (thanks to my very nice Danish friend) which has a history of more than 100 years and a story which can very well become a best seller (I will keep it a secret till it comes on print..:)). As for the town its a quiet town in the outskirts of Copenhgen; many people who works in the capital city prefers staying in Roskilde as its serene, by the water, quiet neighborhood compared to Copenhagen.

Stunning, amazing and hypnotizing place where one can feel the true 'scandinavic spirit'!
