Description:
Morne Trois Pitons National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Dominica. It encompasses a good portion (6880 hectares) of the southern part of Dominica. The park is mostly old growth rainforest set amongst the mountainous interior of Dominica. The trees range from tall to stunted depending on where in the park they are. Morne Trois Pitons refers to the 4,550 ft tall mountain in the park, which is the second tallest mountain in Dominica. Other highlights include top wilderness sites such as Boiling Lake, Freshwater Lake, Boeri Lake, and Middleham Falls. Many of these are accessible via hiking trails.
