South Plaza Island
About South Plaza Island
Isla Plaza Sur / South Plaza Island is unique for it's Iguana population. Both Marine and Land Iguanas reside on the island, which has resulted in some cross breeding of 'hybrid' Iguanas that seem to have stripes like a Zebra.

Oct 19, 2008 The Opuntia here have grown into taller trees instead of short shrubs, as there are no tortoises around, making the island a great spot for taking photos of these cacti type plants. The pathway around the island is dotted with sea lions, marine iguanas and land iguanas everywhere. I also saw lava lizards and swallow tailed gulls here. Related Links
