Mangrove Swamp
Black Turtle Cove is on the north side of Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos and is only accessible by panga / dinghy ride. It is a sheltered, fragile area where sea turtles come to mate.

Great spot! Unlike anywhere else on the islands. We entered the lagoon in our zodiac boats and cut the engines as you have to paddle here to negotiate the mangrove swamps and lagoons. We saw countless sea turtle couples mating in the water, a bunch of white tipped sharks and different types of rays including the hugest ray I've ever seen. This spot still feels pristine and untouched by humans - perfect.
