A large, white sandy beach on Santa Cruz island in the Galapagos named after the remains of some wrecked WWII barges.   Home to a variety of wildlife and is also a sea turtle nesting site.

This beach on Santa Cruz is one of the nicest white sand beaches on all the the Galapagos islands. Great snorkelling and swimming, with outcrops of lava rocks where sally light foot crabs and pelicans hang out. You'll also find marine iguanas around, and parts of the beach are used for nesting sea turtles when laying eggs. There is also a lagoon to enjoy glimpses of flamingoes and other birds.
