The third highest mountain in Ecuador, Volcán Cayambe is a mountaineering / hiking destination. It was first climbed by Edward Whymper 1880, the fellow most well known for scaling the Matterhorn.

Small village, no real attraction, but apparently the south-flank of the Cayambe vulcan consists the spot that is the furthest away from the earth's center...
