It's easy to get here on a bus from Quito, a couple hrs each way. The Sunday market is huge, occupying several square blocks in the center of town. Quality of the stuff varies widely, but there are some good deals to be had on quality watercolor paintings, panama hats, etc.

an awesome place to see all the beautiful crafts made by the Otavalo Indians. You can get great deals even if you don't barter and fabulous ones if you do! A must see if you go to Ecuador!

it was such a neat place to walk around. You can talk them down for anything, and they have some cool things you cant find in the US... I loved there Hot Chocolate most though.

Wonderful and remember to bargain even if u do not know Spanish. Sign language and writing down helps. Saturday market tends to get really crowded so go on a weekday
