The Cotopaxi Volcano is one of the most incredible mountains in Ecuador and one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. With 5.897 meters of altitude, exhibits its majesty in the Andes East Mountain Range. It has a perfect symmetrical conic form covered with snow that has given its world fame and becomes one of the most pictured places in South America.
The Cotopaxi volcano is not a technical difficult mountain, due to its altitude and time for ascending, it is necessary to have an adequate physical preparation and an excellent adaptation to weather conditions. From the top of the volcano you may perfectly see the crater and depending on weather conditions, you may observe emerging from the clouds some of the other mountains of the Andean Mountain Range… an experience that surprises any mountain climber!

A wonderful experience to go up, the view, everything. Did not go to the top, not that kind of climber, but for me they highest I´ve been.
