Kind of a tacky place.. lots of shops, restaurants and even a planetarium straddle the supposed line of the equator. The tower has an ethnographic museum inside. But they built it in the wrong spot...

You have to visit the middle of the earth. It's beautiful. There are also museums and it's fascinating when you can stand with one feet in the north and with the other one in the south.

Atention, the monument doesn't really correspond to the real Eqator. The real one is about 100m far from it. There is a museum on the real one. It is very interesting!
