Malecon is the name of the boardwalk the overlooks the Guayas River.  Along the boardwalk are numerous gardens, fountains, small cafes, restaurants and bars.  The boardwalk was once a narrow roadway path, but a massive restoration and upgrade work was done to improve the area.

El Malecón is the nicest place to visit in Guayaquil. Located next to the river Guayas so there is always a nice breeze....which helps when you are south of the equator....
Nice coffeeshops close by as well...

Very nice place for a walk along the river coast, it has very beatiful gardens and there are a lot of shops and restaurants.

It is so cute, it is so pretty built, I like it because it is organized and it is a good place to travel
