A nice way to spend an hour or two, but with the Egyptian climate, the plants are fairly unremarkable. A big local hangout, so great for people-watching and to mingle with the locals - the kids will stare at you, though!

Named after the British general Lord Kitchener is the botanic garden on his island breathtaking. It is a nice place for a walk and it is funny that there are so many cats in the vicinity.
