Coral Reef
The Great Astrolabe Reef is the world’s fourth largest barrier reef and is located east of the Kadavu Islands in Fiji.  It extends over 40km long and contains a very rich array of marine life and hundreds of species of  colorful coral.  In fact, Fiji is sometimes known as the “soft coral capital of the world” due to the density of soft corals here.  There are over 35 species of Angelfishes and Butterflyfishes here, including the Lemonpeel and Emperor Angelfish, as well as the Saddled and Latticed Butterflyfish.  There are many sites to dive at the Great Astrolabe Reef, and passages in the reef structure offer excellent access from the Western side.  The variety of fish and excellent diving opportunities make this one of the top Fiji attractions. Some dive sites may not be available at any given time due to weather conditions.

If you are into diving, the reefs around Kadavu are fantastic. Get into a hotel that has its own diving shop, and negotiate a rate that includes 3~4 tanks a day for 2~3 days at least.

You must go with a partner that likes diving too. Otherwise, happiness won't last ;-)
