When you think of Fiji, you probably think of the Mamanuca Islands or the Yasawasas. Regardless of what your reasons for visiting Fiji are, you have to at least take a day trip via boat touring the Mamanutha Islands (or, if you want to visit the Yasawasas, you'll sail right by the Mamanutha group anyways).
The Mamanutha is a stretch of tropical islands that line the dazzling sky blue waters that will make your draw drop and tease your eyes. If you've never been to Fiji before, you've probably never seen anything like it! The water is so blue that your mind cannot grasp it -- the water is a shade of blue you never thought you'd see in the ocean.
And the islands are comprised of lush green vegetation, white and yellow sandy beaches, and resorts/huts made from grass. This is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been; and a sight I'll never forget.
I, personally, took a day trip around the Mamanutha and stopped at Treasure Island for some snorkeling and some lunch. The reefs were filled with color and amazing underwater life. The beaches resembled those from movies that depict "paradise." It was relaxing, thrilling and unforgettable.
A day trip around the Mamanutha just wasn't enough time to really soak up all of its beauty; but, at least I ended a trip to Fiji on a high note, a lovely note and one that may people envy!
Whichever island in the Mamanutha you choose to dock, stay or visit, you'll be sure to fall in love with it at first sight.
