Ainolan Puisto (Ainola Park) is a large city park near Oulu's downtown area.  Inside the park is also an open air theater and the Northern Ostrobothnia Museum (Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Museo).

Ainola park for me is the place where is situated the Ainola museum.I remenber this museum mainly because as other museums in Finland it did not have any explanations in English.But it was OK,it is a museum !And if already in Oulu go and find the funny little policeman statue ! Iwon't tell you where is it ...

In the summer, Ainola Park is basicly like a living room to everyone in Oulu. On a sunny day it's nice to hang out in the shades of the trees and relax. I'm still waiting to attend a play at the Summer Theater.

Really beautiful and easily-accessible park, year round. Go for a stroll to watch the birds, take a picnic lunch or view the greenhouse.
