This is one of my favorite cities to visit, which is why I've been there a couple time. Senate Square is a couple blocks from where my Mom lived. There is a huge Lutheran church in this square with a lovely green dome and is a very picturesque next to the blue sky. Then a couple blocks further was the harbor and market area. I loved the fresh salmon cooked/smoked right there - I was in heaven!

A fun place. Definitely climb the stairs to the top and go in the church. It is beautiful! You can also catch the hop on hop off bus in the square which I highly recommend! It hits all the major touristy places in Helsinki and it doesn't cost a lot of money!!

Very cool square. Looks kind of eastern-blockish. It's where the scene from Mission Impossible was filmed, where Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) jumps through the exploding fish tank onto the square.
