Suomenlinna

Suomenlinna fortress is my favourite place in Helsinki (although I don't really have just one favourite place, there are many). It is reachable by ferry from the mainland and it's a great place for a picnic. It's a peaceful place (if you don't mind the other visitors and tourists...) and a perfect spot for a relaxing day out of the city. It is listed in the Unesco's world heritage list.Website

Take a trip by a ferry to this beaufitul sea fortress located only 15 minutes from the Market Square in Helsinki. It's a lovely place to spend a day in a nice summer day, but definitely a worth of visit any time of the year. The views to the sea as well as the parks and fortress are enjoyable.

Suosittelen lämpimästi. Mitä mainioin paikka vaikka piknikille. Saaressa on myös kahviloita, jos ei omia eväitä ole mukana. Saareen pääsee helposti samalla lipulla kuin muillakin julkisen liikenteen kulkuneuvoilla eli kannattaa ostaa päivälippu :)

Beautiful little island, great place relax, swim and have a nice picnic at the the 250-year-old fortress, which is today part of the world heritage

Lovely place to go. I love little islands! The fortress is impressive. The views are great. It is a short ferry ride from town.

Awesome set of islands!! Lots of History, has a great little brewery, and many picture spots. Just beautiful
