The old city of Tallinn is surounded by a huge wall. Pity you can't go up there... in the upper city district, you get a good view over the newer part of Tallinn.

Actually you can climb up to the wall or if it is currenly impossible, then some of the towers are definately opened for the visitors.

Very little place, where are very lovely old houses. I like to be there.. You can feel history when you walk there.

I recommend winter, with loads of snow and a snowy arrival in port. A place out of time, not a soul in sight... Magic
