Oct 25, 2008 When building the modern art gallery Ars Nova in 1995, some medieval artifacts were found from the construction site, and as the arcaeological research started they actually found entire medieval buildings and objects telling stories about life in Finland's former capital Turku in the Middle Age. Ars Nova was still built as planned, and now these two completely different museums are located in the same building. I've never visited the Ars Nova -department, but Aboa Vetus I found worth visiting already as a child and I my opinion still hasn't changed. You can go to both museums with the same ticket - 8 €/person, in groups of 20 persons or more 6 €/person; guided tours in English and Swedish once a day in the summertime, in Finnish twice a day in the summer and also during the weekends outside the summer season; an adventure tour for children in the summertime twice a day (only in Finnish).
