it's a beautiful and huge castle where Roman Catholic Popes used to live in. the building still stands and it's not ruined at all! there is a museum now but I haven't been there so I cannot tell you what's inside. near the castle there's the famous Avignon bridge. the whole city is very beutiful, especially the old town. lots of restaurants and shops.
