This Chapel was designed by the world famous architect le Corbusier who is considered the father of Modernism. It was commissioned to replace the old chapel ruined by the WWII. The outlook of the building will definitely blow your mind and pre-conception of what a place of worship would look like

This building is located in a small commune called Ronchamp in eastern France. I went there in 1997 on an architectural pilgrimage. I remembered vividly there were 3 other architecture student visiting the chapel, 1 from Australia and 2 from the USA. The experience of the building is very different from what one perceived from the vision of photography and through pictorial image. My heart would resonate with the space when I was there standing inside and outside, moving around the building.
