The Bâteaux Mouches Company, located at Alma Square, on the Seine right bank, offers boat rides on the Seine river; it allows the discovery, days and evenings, of famous Parisian monuments such as Eiffel tower, Alexander III Bridge, Orsay and Louvre Museums, Paris city hall, cathedral Notre Dame de Paris …
Bâteaux Mouches first appeared in 1867, for the Universal Exhibition, when a contest for the construction of boats able to transport merchandise on the Seine was organized. A builder from la Mouche quarter in Lyon won the contest. About 30 boats were built then. After WWII, when roads and railways supplanted water for transportation, the Bâteaux Mouches Company was created to offer touristic rides on the Seine River.

Love the Bateaux Mouche, a sort of ferry which acts as a tour guide, and the helpers explain all about France in different languages, like French (duh!), Italian, Spanish and English, etc. Like it mostly because the Seine and the Tour Eiffel are so beautiful at night. We also get to shout a lot and wave at people on the bridges! ;)

An ideal way to see the "headlights" of Paris. You take a boat at the river bank and during the trip you can see all sorts of monuments. If you take the trip in the evening than you have a light show as well. During the trip you get all the information in your own language.

It’s a cruise along the Seine River . You can see the most beautiful and historic sites in Paris . Besides, you can see the various old bridges that cross the river. You should wear warm clothes if you want to sit on the deck.

For whatever reason the simple translation is "FLY BOATS" and they are a sepatate experience knowing Paris.What you can not see from the boulevards and the shore of the river you will see and appreciate from the boats.
