Sep 20, 2008 I lived in Paris for two years and loved it... just walking around is a visual treat. Go to the Louvre and then a cafe called Angelinas is nearby... very classy and delicious. My other favourite museum is Musee Rodin. Best time of year to see Paris is spring or winter (around Christmas) but definitely NOT summer... most French people close up shop and leave it to the hoards of tourists. French bakeries are the best in the world. There is an icecream shop on Ile St Louis worth trying and I know a great cheese shop in Neully-sur-Seine... all the little specialty shops are less convenient than supermarkets but it is the French way of shopping. Shopping in the Champs Elysee and Galleries Lafayette is expensive but such a treat. Go down the Seine on a Baton Mouche river boat. So much to see... my favourite place. Beware the many North African guys who try to hook up with unsuspecting female tourists, a friend of mine was attacked by one when they reached a less busy area and luckily escaped... best not to take the risk and send them on their way quickly. Nov 4, 2009 To tell the truth I was completely disappointed. The city is dirty. The French are unkind. As to the Tower of Eiffel, Notre Dame de Paris, Versailles, Louver and other sightseeings are wonderful, but in general the impression was negative. It is in in my subjective opinion. Mar 6, 2010 Lovely Clean City of Lights, Beautiful Hologenlights from vehicles, Traffic is average to slow, Beautiful peoples laying by having coffee around the cafes waiting time to pass by. Very talented musicians and artists performing art for interests in friendly atmosphere. Dec 12, 2009 I`ve been there lots of times... All the famous buildings are great, but also visit the less popular parts of the city to find some interesting little stores. If you want to have a nice dinner and don`t pay to much... find a restaurant outside of the city-centre. Jun 29, 2012 It's one of the cities where I experienced a truly romantic and beautiful days with my lover. I enjoyed the food, wine, museums, historical buildings of the city and many more things I can't possibly complete here. I bought high quality canvas pencils too. Related Links
